Speaker upgrade for i10 sportz

Hi all,
I recently purchased i10 sportz which has OEM head unit. The output of the OEM head unit is not so good (Speakers could not handle bass). I want to upgrade the speakers for the OEM HU. However I do not want to change OEM HU.
Budget: 20K

I want to know following:
1. Can I add components in the front doors and co axial in the rear door? I am looking for Illusion (EL 6.1 and EL62) or JBL (GT6-S266C and GT6 - 366).
2. Do I have to add amplifier for above setup?
3. Is it possible to add amplifier to OEM HU? If yes which one 2ch or 4ch?
4. Also I need to damp all the four doors and boot.

Please suggest me good installer for above upgrade in Pune.

I am also ready to get it done in Mumbai. I have heard lot about Bass n Treble located in Mumbai.

Yeah! you can add an amplifier to the OEM headunit. but you cannot experience the full potential of the amplifier unless you buy a aftermaket headunit.

for the OEM headunit you can add a component speaker and a rear coaxial.


MTX speakers can be driven with the OEM head unit. Total upgrade will cost you around 10K.


Dampen the 4 doors for increased sound quality and noise rejection also. use Dynamat for dampening or Noise Kill..

Dampening the car also reduces the outside road noise and also make your ride a cool one.

Frankly speaking i never heard of MTX speakers. I have been listening to JBLs in mu uncles swift for last 2 years and they sound amazing.

Also listened to illusion electra 6.1 in my friends car and they are good as well.

Where can I get MTX speakers demo in Pune?

Also regarding damping, where can I get it done in Pune/Mumbai?

I have upgraded rear speakers as JBL GTO 948 Limited edition at Poona motors. The sound quality is really good and I am happy with that.

Next upgrade will be as follows:
Component speakers (Illusion EL 6.1 or JBL GTO 608C).
Damping.
4 Ch amplifier(Still have a long time to decide but need the same with speaker level input).

Excellent;
This is a car that is driven by my better half & it sounds better than my VW - to my ears at least....
Cost, I do not know...truly;

Damping is the most important part of any car audio install.
Without damping car audio should not be installed.

I got JBL 608 C as Fronts and Boston Acoustics 300Watts as Rear, Didi'nt liked JBL GTO 948 i demoed with pioneer head unit.

If you listed to Moderate Audio levels no need to add amp but please go for a after market HU. kenwood and Pioneer go well with JBL speakers but avoid JVC for JBL Speakers otherwise tehy are good.

No dampening yet
