speakers for microphone

Hi,
i just bought a microphone ,but when connected to my old guitar amp there is some hissing noises.So i thought of buying speaker/amp kit.Since i have no experience i would like to get some suggestions from the experienced members here.Not looking for the ultimate sound quality,its just for practice ,but should not have hissing or other unwanted sounds .thanks
