Hello All,

Need some advise. I currently have a Pioneer HTP 071 connected to a Sony BLu Ray S390. The Pioneer HTP 071 comprises of the VSX 321 receiver and speakers.

I am happy with this setup for Blu Ray, but reallly want to enhance the quality of music.

Can I upgrade to better front speakers alone? If yes, which models? My budget is about 300. ( Am in UK )

Or do i need to buy a separate player? Or how do i upgrade my current setup for better quality music?

Any help woud be appreciated.

Thanks.

Get a pair of bookshelves, you can check whathifi reviews according to your budget and decide on the brand

Thanks. I have checked some reviews and have narrowed down to Cambridge audio s30 and wharfedale diamond 121. The Cambridge is cheaper. Any advise which would be better. Am tempted to go with Cambridge s30 as it is cheaper but if wharfedale is better, would there be a huge difference in quality or just marginally? Pls help.

Also am I correct in thinking that the audio player does not play a significant role in the quality of music and it is the speakers that do?

Many thanks.

Yes, spend some time checking reviews, that is the only excitement in buying new stuff IMO. Once you have it, doesn't really matter, you will live with it.
Audition the speakers before you buy.
