Speakers placement

Hello friends,
I recently moved my stereo from dedicated bedroom to living room. Living room Layout and position of TV unit is such that i have to keep one floor stander close to wall and another one to open side. I noticed more bass in the speaker closer to wall. So the imaging is not at centre. Attaching pic for reference. Need suggestion to get equal bass from both the speakers,. Any easy structural changes like temporary partition, or heavy curtains drapes etc....?

Two things comes to mind

1. Try Toe In
2. Roll up socks and stuff it in bass port to reduce bass
