Hi guys,

Need you help buying speakers for amp.
Here is my situation:
Recently I got a Sonodyne SA-580 amp which was lying unused in my relatives home. I am currently using it philips bookshelf speakers which I got with my old hifi unit.
I want to upgrade my speakers and my budget is around 15-20k.
My question is, is it worth spending 20k for speakers to use with this amp?
The specs say that the amp can deliver continous power of 49w/channel @8ohm. Distance between sofa and the amp is around 10 feet.
looking forward for your suggestions..Many Thanks!!

Hi

Look at Taga Bookshelf range....they have high sensitivity which enables low power amps to run them...

Check Hifi Mart

Hi Surya,

Yes, if you want to have punch and clear sound. Although there are many speakers available below 15K, but there is one good bass speakers for you at your budget (<10K) excellent build quality. you may visit my place for audition as I'm living in Hyderabad.

Speaker : Taga Harmony TAV-616S

Here is video link for this speakers.

If you don't have a DAC already, then adding one in the chain would be better than replacing speaker's..

WOuld love to give an audition..may I know in which part of hyd you are from?

there should be quite a big improvement if you get better speakers imo. if you get the wharfedale diamonds 220 within your budget theyre the ones to go with. the bose 301's are also very good speakers at the price point

Thanks for your inputs!!
Bought an used Denon AVR1912 off OLX..got it for a good price IMO
Will buy a good pair of Bookshelf speakers to start with and then add a center channel and sub later when budget permits..
I see a Wharfedale 220 and Dali zensor 3 in classifieds section. Which one among the two pairs well with denon?

Dali will go well with denon. Denon is a warm sounding amp and wharfedale are warm sounding speakers. Warm warm will make it boring. Go for the Dali, awesome speakers.
