Speakers under 5k?

Anyone know any good PC / stereo speakers under 5k? I was looking at the Creative T20 but they are priced at 8k in India. Are there any other comparable options under 5k?

the altec lansing VS 4121 is what comes to mind ( MX 5021 @6.5k worth it if you can get hold of one)

saw a bunch of active edifier bookshelves on ebay.in

wonder if they are any good.

Chk out logitech z500.its an dcnt stuff worth the money at 4k and its an 5.1!

What about the Logitech Z523 Theitdepot - Logitech Speaker System Z523 vs the VS 4121?

Are you talking about the Z 2300 Theitdepot - Logitech Z-2300 THX Certified 2.1 Speakers That's a lot more than I'm willing to pay though.

Havent heard this particular model, but logitech's do not come across as musical at all. they have decent bass, and tend to be mostly good for movies and gaming

Ah ok. I'm considering the Altec Lansings. Also the Creative T20s are slightly over budget but I may pick those up as I've heard them and they sound decent enough.

ransack the whole of ritchie. who knows you might find a piece of MX5021 stock left !
should cost ~7k

the Z2300 are okay, but again not too good for music. I (sadly) have a pair now. I've posted my impressions about it elsewhere in the forum

saw the edifier c3 for 6.1k in Mumbai

look for the edifier 2.1 was for odd.. 2.5 k ..else go for logi..

jbl creature is also good for 4.5 but nutin compared to logi or edifier
