I am here in the U.S and am looking for Stereo Integrated amplifier for my Bowers and Wilkins 683 S2.

http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/Speakers/Home_Audio/600_Series/683.html

Is Cambridge Audio CXA80 a good match for the speakers?

https://www.cambridgeaudio.com/usa/en/products/cx/cxa80

Any other suggestions?

1. Audio preference - All kinds of music from AR Rahman to Carnatic to Jazz to heavy metal

2. Budget = 1000 - 1300 USD

3. Room Size - small living room

4. Source - Hi Res music from Macbook Pro, Tidal and Apple music.

Hi,

If you are going to drive those speakers you need to ensure that you have minimum 100 watts rms continuous power across all frequencies 20hz to 20khz in order to enjoy a good playback per channel......

If I were you, I would consider a nice stereo amp which would have the required connectivity requirements and also power to drive these speakers....look for an amp which can deliver between 120 watts to 150 watts per channel...8 ohms load....

Thanks! any recommendations?

B&W speakers, as good as they are, need power-heavy amplifiers to drive them as they are not very sensitive. As mentioned above, the minimum per channel rating should be 100 watts

Thanks Vinoth ! Which one from the Naim series ? and why ?

Supernait 2 if budget is not a constraint. Most of the B&W speakers are paired with Rotel and Naims and reviews say that the match is perfectly sounding. I tried it with my arcam a32 amp which is 100 wpc. It did drive it moothly, heavy bass, nice highs but lazy mids.

And +1 for vintage sansuis if it is in good condition.

And IMO, they are easily drivable. A 60 watts amp can easily drive this speakers but note that it needs a lot of power to bring out the mids.

rotels generally pair well with the b&ws as well. also consider the acoustic portrait series

If you like neutral/lean/analytical presentation with Bowers and Wilkins go for Bryston/Cyrus/CA/Creek/Rotel
If you like warm presentation then you may go for Arcam/Nad/Sugden/Musical Fidelity
