Is the Sony STR-DN840 available in India? I do not want to get one from USA as the power ratings are different. Please let me know if I can get it in Bangalore.

I don't think Sony sell AVR in India.... You can try getting it from UK, where it is the same voltage as India....

But why Sony AVR?

Reviews are really great for STR-DN840. It has built in wifi, bluetooth and airplay support and price is only around $349. Anything wrong about Sony AVRs?

Sony makes some of the best avrs..CNET gives them very good ratings and they are more value-added than others in same price category..but unfortunately they don't sell them here.

Nope.. Nothing wrong.... haven't heard much as they are not aval in India...

A google search would perhaps yield some results for the Sony AVR which is indeed awesome....you should also keep in mind after sales service and repairs if required...HiFi Mart has started selling Cambridge Audio...you may want to consider them.
