Strange Problem - Onkyo Remote & Hathway HD Remote

Guys -

I have a peculiar problem between Onkyo 3400 remote and Hathway HD Set-top box remote..

Whenever I send any signal to AV Receiver using Onkyo Remote, the Hathway HD Set-top box will not accept any signal from the Hathway Remote at the first instance, but after pressing it again it will accept..

Any thoughts!!
