Strange Problem with Sony Hi Fi

Recently I got a new Sony Hi Fi audio system,model no. MHC_GZR888D(to be exact). Now I assembled it myself , coz it was just joining the speaker wires in their respective terminals and i started the system.It started easily and played all FM channels and mp3 songs in USB flash drives no problem.....the problem arised when i tried to play an audio disc(original) it kept reading drive 1 then 2 ..3. Lastly it showed no Disk...and from that time it is showing the same message for every type of disk i try to play......:sad:
So can anyone tell if i have to do something else like some kinda setup or something before i try to play a cd....or a dvd:sad:

PS:Sound is coming perfect in FM channels and in playing mp3's frm USB flash drive.....

Is it a new one with warranty? The problem may be with the CD lens system. Try a lens cleaner. If this doesn't work then it may need servicing.

I have a 46 inch led for 2 years now. Just buy a cheap Asus / Wd mediaplayer for 4-5K any enjoy almost any format. I have some 10TB rips as well as bluray iso files. All play fine.

@baijuxavier:Ya its a new one just got it 4 - 5 days back and its Asia Pacific model do u think region code or parental control might be the problem for no playback of cd's and dvd's......coz I dont think there's problem with the lens,its brand new.....

No its not the case I have a 55" 3D LED for the last 1 year and I can play nearly everything from 3D bluray movies to mp3 songs in my PS3..but i am presently thinking about the HiFi's problem.

seems like a problem with the lens....if its under warranty shouldnt be a problem getting it fixed..
