Hi

I would like to see what a subwoofer could add to my stereo setup. Would anyone be kind enough to loan a subwoofer or carry a sub to my place to help me what I may/may not be missing in my stereo listening?

Any simple sub will do as I just want to know the effect in my room....
Many thanks in advance...

Adding a Subwoofer definitely gives the advantage of generating the punch at very min vol as well. If you have A+B combination on your Integrated amp then connect sub to B output on amp & provided Subwoofer has High line input option too.

This way you can use A speakers without sub & when you need Sub to be activated put in A+B selection :yahoo:

That is a good point sir.... Now just waiting for a kind audiophile to lend their subwoofer for a a couple of hours for me to find out if I need one or not...
You could contact pro fx if they can do a home audition.

If you dont know this already,

1. You will want to try atleast a medium to upper medium sub with your setup

2. As your speakers go down to 45, you might need to start with your sub crossover set to around 55 to 60.

3. with a sub for music, most of the time, sub should not be felt/noticed but should missed if turned off.

Do post your thoughts after your experiment.
