Guys ,

I got a Jamo S606 HCS3 along with Denon 1311 AVR last Saturday. I am on a lookout for a good subwoofer now in a budget of 15-25K for my 14X13 feet room.

First of all I need advise on ELAC subwoofer I saw ... found it really good :-)

Would welcome your suggestions on other options as well :-)

If you can extend your budget upto 30K, Velodyne Impact 12 is a highly rated model. Might be able to some disc if you haggle.

Congratulations on your new acquisition and enjoy them.

Could you please specify the prices and place you bought them?

TIA

jasper, jamo 606 has built in woofers right. I would say that better to go with them as of now and later on build a good budget and buy the sub separately.

haisaikat : Yup , 8" side mounted woofers. I am starting to agree with you , My cousin is stating the same thing and is asking to increase the budget to around 35-40K for a quality sub. Any advises guys ??

Add Jamo sub 550 / 650 to ur sub's shopping list........hear dem too......hope u wont be disappointed......

Whats their price range of Jamo Subs ? ... I am gonna be in the range of 35K now in next 2-3 months..... Heard a lot that Velodyne Impacts are the best in the international market .... People ususally buy them the most.

SVS and HSU both are good Subs

SVS is available in India from Audire, they were offering free shipping anywhere in India.

There is no dealer in India for HSU, you have to buy abroad and somehow get it here. Direct shipping by HSU will be costlier.

On the model, SVS PC12 will give you slightly more Bass and takes less floor space as it is a cylinder - but height is more. SB12 is considered to be more accurate in bass production.

VTF models can be selected based on your room size and power rating you need 250W or 350W. There are some more differences which you can find on the net.

Guys , Got another one .... Sonodyne Roar 2815 (Dual 8" Down Throwing Drivers) and am impressed looking at it and the pricing as well ...

Anyone has a feedback on Sonodyne and is it good to consider it ?

I have Polk DSW 660 Pro WI that I purchased from Profx around 2 months back for 29K INR and I am impressed with its LFE. YEsterday I was playing Doom BD there was a time where a helicopter was taking up. The glass doors on a showcase mounted on the opposite wall of the sub around 25 feet away was vibrating when the helicopter took off. It is a downfiring sub with 200 W max power input, has wireless capability (with optional adapter) and remote. According to Profx guys (not sure how much they are right) this is a joint venture product with Velodyne where the internal circuit is a Copy-paste from Velodyne.

I am gonna buy the sub in the first week of June ..... and Velodyne Impact 12 is looking more n more finalised ....... Polk 660 also is in there .... What say guys ? Any advises ?

If you are interested in Sonodyne go for 210 or newly launched Studio sub, not any other models.I have 210. You can't beat it with that price from any other brand.loving it.
The base cost + shipping for HSU VTF-2 MK3 Satin Black shipped via FedEx
International Economy service is $1058.84 USD. This is the best you can get. This will serve both as a music and movie sub as they are variable tuning ones.Log onto their website for details. They are specialist sub manufacturers.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
