Subwoofer suggestion

So guyz my subwoofer has gone kaput alongwith front right speaker out of a 5.1 HT Setup (Quad Lite 2).

So I am now looking for sort of 2.1 setup. Please provide suggestion for the speakers, only bookshelves please (for which I have done no research at all), for subwoofer I am looking between :

BIC America F12 -> PL200 II -> SVS PB1000.

I know performance wise PB1000 would be the best, but I am looking for a good balance between performance and value, ashamed), so your suggestions would be helpful . Room is 12 feet by 12 feet, and setup is used only for Movies. I can get a demo of PB1000 but BIC America dealer is saying he cannot provide a demo hence the thread.

hmmm....budget say max Rs. 60000 for the sub and Rs. 30k for 2 speakers.

AVR is Pioneer VSX1021

Subwoofer for value n performance......BIC America ....PL 200ii.....

Bookshelf speakers...Polk RTiA series.....(Check with ProFx)...You can also look at Taga or Bostons or Wharfedale.....

Ensure you go for a sub that delivers the required low freq you want....there are other subs too...audition and decide.....

BIC America subwoofers and speakers demo available in Audioholic Home Theater Solutions. Where are you located and which dealer did you contact that did not have demo.

A quick google search shows me that the particular dealer you are talking about is based in Chennai. I am in Delhi, so no go, .

I had a word with some1 called Cine Audio. I infact landed at their doorstep this Sunday, with the same response. I then went to SVS dealer, and was treated with a damn nice demo in a 500 sq feet room (my room is only 144 sq feet), and bought the PB1000, alongwith Boston Acoustics A26 (already had 1 speaker from many years ago, and bought another unit). Installation would be happening tomorrow, I hope I do get the expected chest thumping bass in such a small room.

Congrats on your purchase.......it will work fine provided it is placed properly and you set the levels right
