Hello,

I have onkyo TX-SR304E AVR and yamaha SW with me. I am looking for speakers for it. 50-50% Movies and Music. For music should be good thump even in small voice. Budget is 20K for speakers since I have SW and AVR with me.

Please advice.

JBL
Fronts (satellites): JBL Control 1 - pair (7.5K)
Rear (satellites): JBL Control 1 - pair (7.5K)
Centre: JBL Control Now (within 9K)

DNM - Mumbai
Check their website.

wharfedales come to mind. the bose 301's is a well put together package. if youre looking to spend a bit more then the usher s520 is the speaker to beat

Then go for a step by step approach.
Get the fronts+AVR first
Then go for center
Then sub
Abd then surrounds
Do not cimpromise wih SQ
To get your self convinced, pay a visit to nearest JBL stores as well as audition Polk speakers and see the difference.

That would mean more money to spend on other components.
Try to get demo with your own AVR

If you extend your budget by 5K, Check the Sonodyne Sonus range

Sonodyne Sonus 1501 (BS) - 9K, Sonodyne Sonus C2401 (Center)- 6K, Sonodyne Sonus Rears (Dipole Surround) - 10K.

Bookshelf speakers would offer better performance than the Satellite speakers if you can get them for the same price.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
