Hello,

Greetings,
I joined this forum as a new member and I thank the forum moderators for maintaining this forum.

I recently bought Denon X1500H & Fyne audio F302 as my initial setup and I am thinking of adding a sub to make a 2.1 setup. The budget I can spare around 20 to 30k. Please provide your suggestions for a matching sub-woofer and way to build forward my setup.

Thanks

Hi

Welcome to HFV.

This site is a good place to be...all required AV information in various knowledge filled threads and posts....

the F302 can emit frequencies between 36Hz-28kHz ......which means if you get a sub which can go as low as 30hz will not make much of a difference. Check the settings on the AVR to ensure that these speakers are kept as large....try different placement positions as these speakers can produce enough bass required for music.....movies to a certain extent.

You need to look at subs which can atleast emit our 24/25hz which will make a difference......

Based on your budget you can possibly get the required low frequencies with a low power sub which will do the job and NOT overshadow the front speakers,,,,,,these subs will be within 20k,,,,,,

if you are looking for deep tight loud bass at the same frequencies....you need then to look at 10 or 12 inch subs which deliver the said low frequencies and even more power output....above the 25k bracket

here are some subs,.,,,,make sure to read the specs, audition and then purchase.....

http://sayhifi.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=235_261#/sort=p.price/order=ASC/limit=25

Compare prices between dealers......read the specs and size (for placement) and then decide.,.....

Thank you so much for your valuable information.
I haven't thought about the lower frequencies and I will definitely try to vary my speaker placements to verify the bass. Currently, as I run the system with two channels, Denon has considered the speakers as LARGE only.
For Sub, as you rightly pointed out I will look for the specs and will decide.

Thank you.
I am using my L&R as full range speakers and the bass characteristics of Fyne audio F302 is tight & satisfactory.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
