Hey everyone...

I have got my Honda Brio Audio done.... with following equipment

JVC KW R700BT Headunit
Focal Solid4 Channel Amplifier
Focal Access 165AI 6.5" and 161CAI 6.5" Speakers
Cerwin Vega 10" Subwoofer

Spend significant money, but still not very happy about the results... Sound seems to have "pinching" treble and bass is not tight....Even when I am playing CDs, it is not as good as I expect....

Any suggestion on what improvements can be made?

You could try playing with the tweeter placement.
Get the front doors damped.
Maybe try a different HU?

Hey everyone...

Any suggestion on what improvements can be made?

Congrats on your purchase, all components installed are a good choice.

Few things to check, before you consider any upgrade:-

1. on your HU set crossover - Front HPF 63Hz and SUB LPF - 100Hz
2. On the Solid 4 crossover settings the channel powering the components OFF all filters and the channel powering the sub set to LPF - 80Hz, this you can reduce if you feel that the bass can be localized ( the sub should not be felt like its playing from the back of the car)
3. On your components crossover there is a tweeter setting, like a switch which reads -2db, 0db, +2db. set them to -2db, this will drop the treble levels.
4. Turn your fader to the front and adjust gains in the amplifier of sub and components to match (at the volume level you desire) and then bring rear coaxials to complement the setup, remember music has to be from the front.

This is just a few thoughts from my experience, if this your first setup, keep tweaking with your setup, it will take time to find the right setup.

All the best.
