Suggestions for HDTVs - please help

Hi,

I am looking to buy one HDTV for my bedroom not over 36" and one for my living room not under 50".

Already have HDMI output 1080P DVD players (OPPO). Can the player output separately to my amp for sound (digital coaxial) and HDMI to the TV for picture?
