Hi,
Need advice from the informed and experienced members in the forum on setting up a 5.1 system. I have narrowed down to the following:-
AVR- Marantz 1508 / Yamaha rxv485BL
Speakers- Elac cinema 5/ Wharfedale DX2
Given the price differential between the speakers mentioned afore, will it be prudent to expect higher durability(life) in addition to performance from the DX2.
Am essentially looking for a wall mountable set. No floorstanders (curious kids at place).
Additionally, will the choice of recievers be sufficient to drive the speakers shortlisted to optimal capability.
My room size 15x13 feet.
Any further suggestions on the HTS parts are welcome from the members as sadly experiencing the setup will not be possible in the present pandemic situation and geographical seperation.
Budget 60-80k looking for durability (life) in addition to performance. It's not every third year one can shell out that amount on sonics you see!!
