Suggestions regarding 5.1 speaker system

Hello friends,

I want to buy 5.1 speaker system within 6000/-

My priority is crystal clear sound with high boom bass i.e watching movie on multiplex.
Basically I will use it for my LED TV and also will play it via USB..

I want to know few things before buying it:

1) must key features I should look?
2) output power more than 80w rms is enough? Minimum output power should I look?
3) any particular brand?

5.1 speakers available within your stated budget are not the real thing in the sense, it will perform as a Home Theatre in a Box....like compact systems from Samsung/Panasonic/Philips/LG.....

If you want to enjoy good punch and some good effects, stretch your budget to 10k and you could get the Logitec Z 900 series which is good value for money....there are a lot of brands available....key is to audition and also check connection options from TV to system if analog or digital......do your homework and research and then purchase....all the best

Also check of swans m10 2.1,you cant get a good 5.1 under 20k unless it's DIY or used,the speakers you mentioned are not really surround sound speakers,if you are after sound quality then swans are better the Logitech z906 but if you are after boomy bass go for the Logitech.

For loud sound any PC speakers from the likes of Creative, Logitech, etc. will suffice.

The bass will be all over the place and boomy... just don't expect tight bass or even natural reproduction of the lower frequencies. But for TV shows and movies it will vastly improve over the TV speakers.

Check items similar like this. EVen system like these are compromise, but I understand we are in a budget. This one had two HDMI. Check for the video formats it support.

This has HDMI ARC function. So if you are playing movies from TV, then a single cable can be used for connecting TV for Audio and Video.
If TV is smart, then it will help to play HD videos too.
Regarding your question on Jack martin, I know Jack Daniels or Remy Martin. Those kind of systems limit you to audio play back only.

I don't know whether you have purchased the speakers yet but here's an answer.
I had a listen to the Jack Martin Lifestyle Acoustic 2.0 speakers today. I am no audiophile but from what my untrained ears could make out, the sound was quite good. No overemphasized bass drowning out all other frequencies as seems to be so often the case with budget floorstanders. They are very heavy. No optical.
Can you please clarify the price on amazon as at the time of your posting those amazon links. They seem to be currently unavailable and no pricing information is given.
