Sun HD to Videocon HD

Dear all

wanted to share my experience.

With some good help from the fellow forum members I decided to make the shift. Ordered online and got a call the very next day and the installation was done the same day seamlessly. Activation was painless and almost all channel preferences were working.

Picture quality is excellent and is on par or better in most channels. :clapping:

As many mentioned earlier the channel swapping a touch slow.

HD sound needs switching all the time and does not default automatically as id does in SUN.

All well and suddenly yesterday night suddenly the screen pixelated and the box is dead now :sad:. Now waiting customer service to do something!!

That is a let down. May be they will fix it by next firmware update.

plz communicate when do they fix your problem.
Actually me too planning to shift to videocon from bigTV after tolerating their sluggish setupbox and cumbersome menu for three long years.
Videocon offer is incredible and they have more HD channels at fair price I suppose.

For audio,you could got to settings and change the audio from stereo to home cinema.once selected ,the audio feed will automatically change to dolby digital in hd channels where ever dolby audio is available.

There is no central audio setup available on the menu

I am also planning to either upgrade to Videocon HD or migrate to Tata Sky+. Waiting for reviews.

I am very satisfied with Videocon D2H. The quality is good and the variety is great compared to Sun
