I'm tempted to do a couple of these for my Squeezeboxes

I don't know which SB you have but I'm just throwing this out.

It seems that these do very well as a SB Touch PS replacement.

Looks interesting although 8 lbs weight might be a problem these days!

I've got a Duet and a Touch, IIRC the base unit voltages are different.The Duet needs 9VDC output, I dont recall what the Touch needs.

The Touch has a battery operated remote unlike the Duet which is rechargeable.

Can they replace the power supply of a laptop? I'll have to double check to be absolutely sure, but it seems their rating is suitable for use with typical laptops with 65/95W adapter? Right or wrong?

But you just know that it is one beefy old school PS so it HAS to be good, right?

I think - 5VDC.
