Hi folks,starting this thread so that people can find out what are we customers getting in new HD boxes,and reviews for the critics!
Getting my HD in sometime now,already made the payment for one year subscription.All i am doing now is wait for the moment.
Will post the pics from sealed box to things inside the box and the Review of the quality on my LED Bravia 40" EX710.

Good initiative.
Will allow for active comparison/criticism for existing customers and the new ones. I cant imagine much of a difference in service but the STB could be a different vendor.

No Dushie,rumours say they had some tschnical glitch with the previous vendour,besides some technical problem.
Well i called back the customer care and escalated the issue with them,They were delaying the delivery of the HD box,i got a call back and the guy from installations promised installing it by evening.
Will post the pics as soon as i get it.

Here i go folks,Installation guy came at 2 pm today and i took these pictures.The entire process took 2 good hours.
HDMI CABLE
HDMIcable which i have put along with the already taped bundle of wires coming out of the LCD[NOTE the tape which is being put on half inch difference along the whole lenghth of the bundle,looks neat in the end]
and here oms the not so neat part of the picture,i.e behind the pc which is at the moment lying on the ground,waiting for its final rest place[ever since te tv has come,the whole room has undergone various changes,besides a great DIY plan is unde way which will take 2-3 months o be completed]

Thanks for sharing pics... so now its confirmed that HD box are not the old supplied they are cleaning up...its a new import of DEC 2010
Did you get 1 year free subscriptionfor NatGeo-Discovery HD (if you are exisiting customer)...this scheme was there last time when HD boxes were getting installed.

Thanks for nice pictures.Is skin tone perfect with most of the channels?

Yes,they are givin only one month subscription,anyways i was not interested in monthly recharges,so paid whole year rent and saved some Rs 900 as an initial mega pack yearly offer.Comes down to Rs 275 per month.[And yes it includes Gold pack i.e for HD]
Another great news is that some 50 HD channels are to be added soon before the World cup,also the Tata sky hd plus will be coming to market,how soon?
Well thats only time is gonna reveal!
The skin tone is good and is almost equal for all the channels,since i was using local version of dish tv Lolz...now that is running Akai 29 inch.
Although with a meagre fee of Rs 100 per month,that was a steal for ordinary tv viewing.
But quality on this HD box for normal channls is quite commendable.I am waiting for the HD channels and showcase to get activaed whcih gets activated after 24 hours of installation.
Rest, well the highest quality still will be of 1080i resolution.
Instead I wud suggest u to login to myportal in website with ur subscriber ID, u may get an option to add HD gold pack.
Note: Add it only if its says HD GOLD PACK FREE if der is no such option den u need to wait. Actually it doesnt take 24 hours to activate the channels, u need to call the helpline and request them harshly to activate it theyll do it.
50 HD channels is a dream, only 4 channels have downlinking permission for HD broadcast ie NAT GEO HD, Discovery HD, Movies Now and DD HD.
It may be new import, but its the same box, same remote, looks just the same. No difference at all in terms of looks.I don;t think they have changed anything,everything is the same, just that they have ordered new stock.
they have correted the technical glitch,i.e Tracking of the network by the old HD digicomp.Thats what the technician who had come along for installation has told me.He seem to be well aquainted with what he was saying or doing with his laptop.

Sigh. Booked my TataSky HD today but no idea when they will deliver as they say the local cable guys trash them. Said they would call in one week.
