This is only for SD content as of now. No HD.

Even for SD, it will take few hundred MBs for a movie I guess from the limited quota our ISPs give (except MTNL/BSNL).

15 to 20 min required for downloading one full movie (SD) via download manager
Awaited when they gonna lanuched HD movies download too...lol

TS+: Video on demand via broadband

I tried out the new feature of video on demand via broadband last night.

Connected Ethernet cable to TS+ box. Set Router to DHCP.

VOD menu gave a number of options - movies, music concerts and some channels (star +, sony, cnbc etc)

There are a lot of good movies available for download. I downloaded D (it was the shortest one). The initial part of the download was good, but later on in the movie, there seem to have been a number of errors as the video showed those digital garbled spots quite frequently. Not sure if this was a video or a download error issue.

Total downloaded size for approx 90 mins was about 1.25 GB. The movie was not HD.

Will try downloading a larger movie and see how that works. There are 4-5 latest episodes for those who are into soaps (star plus, colors, sony etc).
