Tatasky AV sync issues

I got a TataSky connection recently. I find that there is a major lipsync issue with quite a few channels. Especially ones in HD. I have noticed in movie channels and sports channels.

I have connected the following way.
Tatasky HD -> HDMI -> Marantz Receiver ->HDMI -> Sony TV

How do i fix this?
Is this a set top box issue? Is this a transmission issue?

Lip sinc correction is switched on, in the receiver.

Changing the audio output of the STB from PCM to bitstream may help. If I am not wrong, this is due to sound processing time taken by the AVR.

1. I believe expensive receivers like mine do not pass through video with accounting for AV sync issues.
2. This is justified by, If I connect a PC instead and play a movie there are no sync issues.

There is a lip sync adjustment in Tatasky user settings.
Maybe you could try switching off the lip sync on the AVR.
