TataSky Chennai Field Service Team refusing to install my TataSKy HD connection

Hi Friends,
I have been going through hell for the last 6 days. TataSky field service team in Chennai is simply refusing to install my TataSky Hd connection. In the last 6 days i have

Called up TataSky helpdesk close to 20 times (would have spent close to 700 rs for the call alone with no visible end result)
I have raised 7 complaints
I have sent 3 e-mail complaints to help@tatasky

I have spoken to the Helpdesk supervisors in Ravi Kiran, Vinod, Antony. But still they are not able to help. They are raising complaints after complaints but nothing is happening as far as installation is concerned. Despite all these complaints i am yet to get a call/SMS from field service team regarding installation.

I have waited patiently for this box close to 1.5 months. Finally when the box was available in Bangalore briefly, i made the payment through IVR and got it shipped to Chennai through one of my friends.

The patience that i have shown to get Tatasky HD connection has not been well reciprocated. I have been treated shabbily and left high and dry by TataSky. They are not entertaining my request to take back the box and recredit my money though the box is still in factory sealed condition.

As a customer i can only buy the box. What else can i do? I have gone mad, literally in the last 4 days. I appreciate inputs from esteemed members as to how i can take this forward. Also please share e-mail ID/Phone no of higher-ups in TataSky.

What reason are they stating for not installing? Is it because you bought it in Bangalore for installation in Chennai?
 
Called up their Helpdesk again...that completes my daily quota of 3 calls to Tatasky.

The floor supervisor i spoke to Navin Mishal or someone has raised a complaint (as usual) again and wanted 2 more hours (as usual) to get back to me. Now i lost count of the number of 2 hour extensions thay wanted to get the box installed. When i called up in the afternoon the supervisor gave a ray of hope that if the installation did not take place he would make arrangements to take back the box. But that option has been totally shut on me.

Guys i want to know:
Can i do the installation on my own through local dealers?

Else i am planning to sell the box at a discounted rate. Any takers? :D

No, that is not the reason yrk. In fact when i made the booking the service executive told me that i just have to call up the helpdesk to complete the installation. I also know some of the members here have procured the box elsewhere and completed the installation without any issues.

I don't understand why this filed service team is not doing the installation as i have not heard from them at all. This is totally strange and weird to me. Helpdesk guys are doing what they can; raise requests. The fact is these guys also can't do anything other than raising complaints.

Looks like there is no accountability on the field service team. May they have an option to not to do the installation and still get away with it. Other than this, there is no other reason that i can think of for not doing the installation.

"No: I'll hold."

They'll probably drop the line on you in a few minutes anyway, but it is worth trying.

:o But then... 30 calls? You probably did try it already.
 
dont worry.. write an email to nodal officer in chennai.. and tell them that you are filing a legal complaint.. and you have all the calls recorded and you have all the prrof to make them sweat..

they will come running down to you house.. also mark a cc to ceo tatasky and tell you are going legal..
 
Most probably the field guys might not be getting PAID for installation when you bought from Bangalore and installing in Chennai. Hence they are shying to tell you the reason or going ahead with installation.
 
Threaten them that you gonna raise a suit against tatasky today with the evidence of call conversation and etc,they will surly surrender to u.
 
canduu call news tv channel & show them all proofs .they will air it may be they(tata sky) will fell to ur feet or they will have big lesson in their life .
 
It seems like sundirect has a hand in your issue. Most likely they are either being paid not to connect you or they are one of people with fanatic Tamil pride eventhough they are working for a non TN headquartered company and will do anything to hurt the company. They have done something similar to Hathway cable and now it is completely rooted out of Tamil Nadu and is replaced by SCV cable which is another Sun Networks company. My suggestion is book an online complaint on TataSky.com which goes directly to TataSky HQ and they will usually respond the next day. In your case they will most likely scold and even fire those workers and immediatey send you more ethical workers to hook you up. I had a similar expiriance when trying to get Tata Sky HD box over the phone. They told me it not available in Hyderabad yet and won't be available for a month or so. Then I decided to book a complaint through TataSky.com and immediately the next day they called me confirm and set up the box later that day.
