Hi all, tata sky is advertising HD PVR box is 3D ready :clapping:

All HD STBs are SUITABLE for SBS 3D. There is no other significance for them to be "3D ready" as they will anyway never support Frame Sequential 3D like 3D Bluray standard.
Side by Side 3D these STBs "support" will be supported by ANY Video devices including the FIRST EVER INVENTED as the only thing they will contain will be 2 side by side Video frames which is presented as REGULAR 2D Image (just like those Red Blue 3D of yesteryear).
This is just another hype like those "upscaled" HD channels and STB upscaling has created these days.
Gist - SBS 3D has to do with 3D TV and not an intermediate device and hence your 3D TV has to support it, not the STB (STB would not even know its processing 3D content).
Also, this is a very old news, already discussed several times here. So I would advice to search other threads before starting a new one
