technics sl1610mk2 MM or MC?

hi,
i saw an audio technica phono pre amp on the net but i did not see mc/mm switch on it.does it support all kinds of TT's..also i own a technics TT 1610 which has a magnetic cart. is it MM or MC....please elaborate on this as i am new to the TT arena

well how long ur techncs been with u? is it a hand me down from ur family elders?? if so, plz enquire whether the cartridge was ever changed or is it stock?
