I just acquired a 70's The Fisher 35A automatic turntable...i cant seem to find any info on this turntable online. Does anyone know any basics about it?
when playing on 33, it takes quite a while to "warm up" as the speed is slow for a few minutes...after that it operates fine. I'm not sure if this is a belt issue, or if it just needs some oil. The platter does not just lift off, and i'm wary to start unscrewing the machine... Any info is appreciated!

So after taking this apart a bit, i figured out it is driven by an idler wheel, not a belt. the wheel never slips...but it does take a while to get up to speed...anyone have any tips on this?

Most turntables of that vintage will need cleaning and re-lubing with the proper recommended
lubricants. It is also likely the motor bearings may have to lubricated.
If the idler wheel rubber has become hard, there are places which will rebuild the
idler wheel such as "Terrys Rubber Rollers".

You could try posting your query on the Audiokarma.org turntable forums.
