I have them Quad 22l2's - bought them off HifiMart. Was paired with a marantz receiver earlier and was good, now paired with a DIY tube preamp and an AT1502 power amp - man do they sing now!!! I feel like quitting my job and listening to music all day long :)

Dear Amit,

I feel my Pm6003 is not doing justice to the power of 12L2, can you help me with the DYI pre amp and the power amp - as in, where did you get that pre amp made, and bought the power amp please?

Regards,
Shyamtanu
P.S. I think the club member list needs up-gradation :)

The power amp is used and bought from a friend it's an AT 1502 - built like a tank and hardly gets heated even with 6-7 hours of playing. The pre is a hybrid - SS for the power and tube for processing, tubes are electro harmonix 6922's send me a pm and I will connect you with someone who can try and get you this pre.

Nice all quad setup with quad electrostats. Would love to listen to it one day if possible.
Which amp do you use primarily?

Lovely to see the old ESL 57s in India or are they in Ontario? Would love to hear a pair in India sometime......

I use the Quad 303 to primarily drive the Quad ESL 57. The Quad 33 signal is split by my Dahlquist DQ-LP1, the high end signal going to the Quad 303 to drive the ESL and the low end going to the Quad 405 to drive the subs. I have recently added a pair of Sequerra HF-1 ribbon tweeters taking the signal off the ESL 57

Pics of my updated Quad system with the Sequerra ribbon tweeters. I have also added the Micromega MyDac .

Hi all
Newcomer here. I've currently Creek Destiny CD player, Creek Evolution Amp & my lovely Quad 21L1 speakers - in Birds Eye Maple finish.

As of 25th December (thank you Father Christmas!) I should have in place the just released Quad Artera Play & Stereo (CD & Amp), with the soon to be released Quad Z4 to follow early in 2016.

Connects upgraded too - with Chord Epic bi-wired to the speakers, and Chord Chorus XLR to replace the current QED RCA.

Post this in the wanted section. You might get better response.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
