I cannot find qd35 service manual on internet but qd33 is almost same as qd35 and according to service manual you need transformer of 17.4 V that means simply buy 18V (0,18V) transformer and you are good to go you can also buy 18-0-18v( like this one 18-0-18 2A, 230V to 18V Transformer - Rs.224.73 [16-01C-504] - MakeMyHobby!, Review your Hobby - Experience it here with MMH.) and use only single tap if you cannot find 0-18v transformer(0-18 will be smaller in size than 18-0-18). I changed my sl1300 transformer in similar fashion but mine uses 24V i changed it because original transformer inside turntable is of american 120v. 1 amp should be enough but buy 2 amp to be rest assured that it will work fine. And also match the size of transformer with faulty/old one so that it can fit easily. May be the screw hole does not match with technics transformer so you have to work around it to fit.

if you want a Toroidal transformer, then 18-0-18 is also available at Eightaudio .com, Diyaudiocart .com and also on ebay .in.

Go to local electronics repair shop with your transformer unassembled. Ask him how to repair it. He will guide you to the place where it is done.
