Thank you Bhagwan, but all my spending plans are centred on the PC and headphone listening now. The hifi is frozen for the foreseeable future, but yes, as you noted before, I was fascinated by the Manger ideas.

I think you can avail VAT refund at the international airport for flying out of the European union if the refund did not happen at the merchant location.

I never bought anything in Germany, only UK and Singapore, where the refund is processed at the airport on presentation of the required forms and receipts and, if required, producing the items for inspection. In Singapore they give me cash, in UK, they credit my bank account.

Thanks....I can't offer such a beautiful half-timbered house, but in my flat you will get some good beer and lots of music if you would like to visit. Behold is far too eclectic and small a manufacturer for Nikhil to spend time on, but there are so many other German brands I would like to hear more of: MBL, German Physiks, the new ACapellas and Burmester.
I am always pleased to have any FMs over and I have made some great acquaintances in the process.

Staxxx the writeup on Behold is very interesting. As a matter of fact I will be very near Metzingen on one of the days - the location of the dealer with the demo. Would be very hard to get time to make a visit though.

We've been regular visitors to Germany for some years now and knives and crockery have been some of the nice things from there.

And don't forget their scissors "Solingen" scissors easily last for at least 30+ years. I know. I have been using them for at least that long. They have never been sharpened by me and still cut as good as new. Indestructible!!!
