Travelling To Thailand. Need advice

Hi folks. I will be travelling to thailand sometime in may. I was thinking that i might but a HTiB there,
I need advice.
Is it cheaper there?
I do get a 7% or so VAT refund.
I can supersize my luggage on air asia.

I need advice on where to buy
customs???
and anything else that comes to mind

Buy a LCD or LED from there......its super cheap as compared to India

Edit: Be careful about the grey stuff though...buy genuine...its still cheaper than India!

you atleast spend 5000THB for getting the vat refund. You must obtain PP10 form from shop duly filled and signed.Get signed by custom officer at airport.After immigration you will get refund.
HiTB is not very cheap or any other electronics except LCD.
Air Asia will charges app 130 THB for every kg.

well when i book the ticks, i'll get extra baggage booked.what i wanted to know was if i get the htib here, will there be a custom duty of sorts?

Get some Pirated Blu Rays for yourself .........

just to go pantip plaza in pratunam area and shop for stuff there...thats the mecca of electronics in thailand
see that you get international warranty for all products u buy
some shops may not offer you vat refund as the price would be lower so no sweat
if you have to take vat refund after immigration and before check in then plan in advance as theres always a huge huge queue over that counter
in pantip you can get all the things that have been suggested above but before you buy do browse around cause the prices may fluctuate and do always try to bargain (if not for prices then for free gifts)
i know all these cause i have been there 7 times and know that mall like anything

well i am looking forward to the shopping
So i am guessing there is goin to be no charge on customs here?
am just concerned abt the weight
