True Digital amplification

arj, I guess thats the DCX2496. What speakers and amplification are you using with this?

Are you managing digital crossovers?

Talking about the cables, yes they are painful. I am having to get everything custom made - XLR to RCA cables. Guess it would help if I knew how to make them myself!

Gobble - the DEQ is more targeted at RTA usage. Its forte is room correction (or space correction - given it is used for live audio purposes in the first place) but it also doubles up as a DAC, as a switching tool between different sources (though not painlessly), upsampler and of course as an equalizer.

So you will be using two DACs, the DEQ & Viren's Tube DAC?

using a leben amp and merlin speakers...i have a decent dac hence not really tried the dac of the behringer yet.

Not really! The erudite answer is probably that 'it depends' .

But, see, it might turn out that I take a digital out from the Behringer and take it to the SPDIF in of the DDDac modified by Viren.

I am curious, arj. Could you, just for our benefit, try the Behringer DAC and see what you make of it.

The SRC2496 and the DEQ2496 share the same DAC model. Not so sure about the DCX2496. But it should be an interesting comparo nonetheless. What do you think?

Yes! I have also heard a lot about the digital amplifier. It is used to improve the quality of an audio.This is one of the latest technologies that is involved to convert an analog signal into the digital one.

I have always said I am no audiophile. The purest of the audiophiles consider this anathema. It is still very early days. But I dont have any reservations in saying I am having fun. Trick is to see if this fun lasts....
