Hi all
Came across NAD tuner 412 tuner at 2K. Thinking to buy. But also same time planning to change amp (may be Vintage if I get nice one). Hence Amp+Tuner can be option.
One of my friend told that Tuner in Amp does not deliver so great sound.

I have below questions:
Is above statement true?
I used inbuilt tuner from Yamaha RXV350 - Not so great, But used in Vintage Philips - was too good.
How is NAD 412?
How much price should be Ok for used good quality tuner?

Thanks

Hi, you may buy the NAD eyes closed if it's in working condition. They are phenomenally good for FM and rare to find. And it's true that dedicated tuner works well since the tuner internals are isolated and sensitivity is usually much better . Suggest you first pair with existing amp and then see how it works.
