Quick query to the seniors. Does listening to music at normal volumes in speakers cause hearing loss?

Depending on what is „normal“ to you, and how close you are sitting. Whatever you do as age goes by the high frequency hearing ability diminishes. Audiophiles are very adamant in admitting this though they feel they are super humans. Few years back I was at an audio show where I saw lot of people above 60s were listening to a demo. They all seemed to enjoy that particular speaker a lot, which back then to me was too bright and had too much treble.

Few years later now I feel like I needs those speakers already

Hearing loss is attributable to many causes. Loud music is one of them. Age is a major contributing factor. I had mild hearing loss at age 58, mostly frequencies above 9000hz. It remains almost same. However I would say that loud traffic, noisy ac( mostly window), headphone levels, and infection/ illness can lead to loss. So it is better to be careful at a younger age , rather than regret later. Don’t ask how I know.

I already have continuous ringing in ears. Cant get worse than this
