Turntable belt for phillips

Hi guys i just replaced the belt on my phillips turntable but it still drags and sometimes plays normally then drags again.Any suggestions

Which philips model is it. Have you lubricated the motor shaft bearing and the spindle bearing?

If it is a 242 then you have to check two belts. There is a small belt inside the black box housing the motor. Check that and also lub the pully shaft. Take care not to get any oil on the belt.

Please ensure no oil or lubricant should be there on the belt. That will also cause dragging .
