Urgent help -how to connect two HDMI cables

Hi..after couple of years of manually setting up my projector on a table, i finally decided to mount it on the ceiling today. Anticipating this, I had a friend get me a blue rigger 25 feet HDMI cable last year. However today the AV guy came and said this cable is 10 feet short. Just last week my team member came from US who could have got me a 35 feet cable :( what dreadful timing


Anyways I googled to see if i can use some adapter to connect two HDMI cables and I found the below and they seem to have good ratings. Please let me know if this is a good idea...the AV guys says Rs. 700 per meter which is 8K for a 35 feet cable..can ask someone to get it from US for less than 2K but it will take some time.

Hence for today, please let me know a temporary solution.

You can use these in the interim, you wont have problem since the signal is digital. But it is not advised. The longer HDMI cables come in higher gauge for a reason.

Also if it is in wall, it could frequently lose connection and cause nuisance if it is inside the wall. Make sure the connection is outside the wall either of the sides so it is easy to connect/disconnect/check connection.

This is no dedicated home theater,,just my living room and since my current usage is once in 3 months..thought by fixing it permanently I will use it at least over the weekends :)

it will be strictly outside wall... not disturbing/modifying my house in anyway.

If your 25ft cable is high speed,then you can use a adapter without using signal loss.
I have used 15 mtr MX 4K cable + 3 mtr HDMI cable connected via HDMI adaptor.
It works.Your cable has more length though.

plus other cables...the other ones I am not sure are as good as this one..plus some may be be 1.4 some 1.3...so confusing..anyway i will get the connector only after 3-4 days ..if nothing works, i will move my receiver few feet closer to the cable....:mad:

I copied your MX cable to google to find out the price and was so surprised that on shop clues its 1400....then I felt like a fool trying to buy it from US when its so cheap in India itself....and then I went to shop clues and its listed for 1.5 meters not 15 metres!!

My hall is around 20-22 feet....Screen is one corner below which is receiver. So from there..vertical wall of 7 feet and horizontal for 16-17 feet plus AV guy says mount should have 3 feet of spare cable.....hence he says 25 feet is not enough

I got Belkin F3Y021bf10M 10 Meter High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet for projector purpose costed me 3k

I hope it wont get shorter for setup
Else that hookup thing is really gud

This link says its High speed and 3D capable(its HDMI 1.4).So can get adapter and try with another HDMI cable.It should work.
