Hi,

I am just curious to know, If there would be any problem by using speakers of different impedance in a set up, lets say using 6ohms as fronts and 8ohms for rest.

Technically no but they are workable - it wont damage or go into protection mode if you listen at normal levels. Dont play at ear splitting level as the AVR may not be able to handle the load and could shut off.

Guys, Can somebody explain to me the real world significance of the relationship between impedence, decibel levels, power handling and how to mate an AVR and 5.1 speaker setup based on these values. Did some reading over the net but too much of math so didn't get into my thick head. Please guys, someone humour this moron
