Hi All,
When using a headphone (wireless ) with my AV receiver ( Onkyo 606) am i supposed to get the 2.1 ( stereo ) or just plain left and right channels without woofer effects.

I feel the same with and without the subwoofer powered on . Seems like subwoofer effects are not applicable while listening to headphone. Am i right.

Probably without woofer effects... simple 2.0

What phones do you have... not every phone can woof ... 2.0 or not! ;)

When headphones are connected, the receiver automatically defaults to 2.0 Stereo mode. There is no signal sent to the LFE channel. Even if you use a DVD and play a movie using Dolby or DTS, what you will hear are just the front L&R speaker output. There is no Point 1.

This has nothing to do with the headphones.

Cheers

I tried to connect my Audio Technica headphone to Nad C320 amp and the result is BAD compared to un amped headphone out source.

I think the headphones require specialised headphone amps.

Any comments?
