have irving m bud fried signature A6 as fronts. I Was thinking about using my Focal 706v2 as a center speaker and my jamo S60 SUR as left and right Rear surrounds. 5.1 surround sound. Amplifier is AVR harman kardon 3550 from 2002. Not HD. 5.1. I have a harman kardon subwoofer.

Any opinions on going from 2.1 channel to 5.1???? Using logic 7??
Thank you

Very good. Use DSP to match timbre

I think it’s worth trying 5.1 with Logic 7, it can really open up movies compared to 2.1 even with mixed speakers. Just keep in mind the tonal mismatch might show, but it’s still more immersive overall.
