tv channels? you're in india, dont you get cable/dth? Not sure what are you trying to achieve. If you just want to see tv on pc and have cable etc, you can just get a tv tuner card.

Well, if someone's in a place like mid-east/Egypt he would like to watch Indian channels on pc since even good hotels there do not subscribe to indian channels. Although the OP's location shows India but his current location could be different, I'm assuming.

I would be interested in this info as well (for my brother who's in Egypt atm).

I think dish tv used to come with a box, which u can connect to your monitor and watch the channels on the pc itself.
