If you are movie freak then Denon works better , for Music Yamaha is better. In general Denon sound signature is better than other AVRS. Denon provides better features / options to tune the sound. You get frequent firmware upgrades .. easily for denon which improves overall listening experience.

Just do audition of both AVRS from your end and decide which sounds best to your ears. Denon may be slightly expensive than Yamaha , but its worth spending on it.

But for denon It requires dirac to be purchased right ?

Yes tailor Dirac Live is not free ... But it's not mandatory . You can use audyssy setup which brings good room correction for Denon.
Build quality of Denon is not inferior to Yamaha , At the same time yamaha AVRS are at par with Denon , their sound signatures are slightly different. You need to choose depends on your personnel preference , and you will not neglect decision going with Denon either.

Check ProFx or thehomeciinema bangalore for denon AVRS. Most dealers in bangalore keep denon or marantz AVRS in their demo room , Unfortunately i dont find much yamaha avrs they use in thier demo room, u need to check for authorized yamaha dealers in bangalore in the yamaha official website.

Onkyo would be a better option with Dirac live preinstalled.

Rz 30 or RZ 50 would be good. Onkyo receivers are thx certified too.
