I have a very small space 6ft in length while working in the system which I do for long duration at any given I need a good speaker to support my space. Mostly I listen to speeches in youtube and ilayaraja songs which I have in losless format. listen to speeches for a long time could result in fatique so that is one important factor which I need to have in consideration. I have listen to floor standing speakers all my life in Wharfedale and B&W's its not very clear for me to for a bookshelf like audioengine A5+ or even the A2's or do we have anything else I am new to this area please advise.

There are several brands available like Edifier, Swans, JBL, HiVi, Creative, etc. You will need to check based on actual output requirement, size & budget. Listening is very subjective and so where possible you need to audition in person / see some end user reviews via YouTube and decide accordingly.

I used to own an Apart Audio active speakers that were pretty good. I have now gifted them to my daughter and replaced them with a Klipsch 5.

If money is no object then buy a Genelec 8331A pair. It's the single best thing I've had the pleasure of using for an extended period of time. I'm now saving up to buy my own.

Also consider the jbl 308p mkii as an option. It's slightly old and might need to be paired with a pre-amp for handling inputs but it's great value for money. It's slightly on the physically larger side though.

A good bet would be to add an inexpensive DAC and go in for a pair of active speakers. Edifier 1280, Presonus Eris 3.5 are good inexpensive bets. The advantage of PreSonus is that there is a service centre in Chennai.

If you like strong bass, PreSonus 5BT has 5.25 inch woofers and 50 watts of power.

Connected to just the audio out of a PC, the Eris sounds quite good. Connect a DAC, and they sound divine.

The Edifier 1280 are larger speakers and need more space. Their DSP is very good and they have internal DACs for digital signals. Unfortunately, neither Edifier nor PreSonus support USB input and that is why I am recommending a DAC.

Cheers

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
