Hi all,
Planning to buy chord mojo dac. Now smartphone is best in tes of audio output ie to double up as DAP. (along with being a decent phone).
Is galaxy s9 better or iPhone x better for the said purpose. Or is there any cheaper and equally better phone in terms of audio output first. Screen display res next, Decent camera next.

A phone is primarily a communication device.
Incidentally it does double up as a camera + media player.
When plonking 40K for a DAC get a decent source.
Or go cheap and buy a Schiit Fulla.

Cheers,
Raghu

Per the chord Mojo DAC specs, it is capable of accepting Micro USB input (768kHz/32-bit)..

If you have a standalone DAC, then you can connect any Android mobile with USB OTG support to this DAC either thru supplied micro USB cable (or) use an USB adaptor cable to connect your existing mobile to it.. Never used any apple products, so no idea on the connectivity..( but there should be a possibility)..

You will need some media player app on the playstore like hibymusic (free) or music player pro (paid) app to send digital out from mobile thru its USB port..

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
