Where to buy HD media players in Kolkata

You may consider purchasing them thourgh ebay GEB or Aramex like services since these hardly have manufacturing defects and the risk of warranty can be traded off against the price difference of purchasing locally vs internationally / online.

Thanks for early reply.. but do you know for sure one can get Media players there.. I had called some renowned shops and non of them had even heard of HD media players. But ill go and check at Velocity and Emall. I can order from eBay.in but most sellers have mentioned that people from West Bengal not to buy as there is some waybill issues while shipping.
 
Saikat read ur post on speaker audition in Kolkata... intensive and exhaustive i must say. I guess u have an asus media player, if yes then how is the performance. I mean codec support n all.
 
As far as I know, the waybill problem is not there for air shipments. It is only required if the consignment comes by road. Media players have small boxes and they are not very heavy. You can ask them to send by DTDC air or something like that.

Yup, they have WD, Asus, Seagate, Iomega... Their price is very good too.
 
I purchased a BBC Life BluRay from 20North but got caught at the airport and have to pay taxes (way bill) and get it cleared.........the courier was DTDC and I got no help from them and have to get hold of an agent to get the job done which added to the cost of the Blu Ray.
If you are lucky you may get unnoticed or else you have to pay for the Way Bill......8-((
 
Way bill is the so called form 50 which you'll have to collect and deposit at the Beleghata Sales Tax office. That's the hassle. Paying is not the problem.
 
Called Velocity yesterday and got a quote of Rs.6500.00 for WD TV live. The price is very competitive. I was also looking at Playon HD which is on offer for Rs.7800.00 till 31st March. Do we have any comparison among media players xtreamer-playon HD-WD TV-ASUS in this forum.
 
Bargain Bargain, they will lower the price to 6300.
I prefered wdtv live due to its low price yet great set of features to rival other players. I already have many 1 TB internal HDD, so i bought external casing and using them with wdtv live flawlessly. New wdtv live update allows wdtv to passthrough 7.1 audio.

Bought the WD TV Live from Velocity for 6500. Firmware upgraded. Very happy with the purchase. Plays all the stuff that i have videos music etc.

epic bump!

today i gave phone call to velocity and they said that wd player stopped to selling in kolkata and they suggest me to get Asus O'play :(. any other place from where i can get wd player?
