Hey Guys!

I just joined here, so I wasn't sure where exactly to place this thread, but since it is related to a cable I thought this is the section to place it in.

I need a jumper cable/wire, I've attached an image of it. I found two international online stores for it but none whatsoever in India.
Here are a few online sites that I've found that have it:
4 pin dual-female jumper wire - 300mm (5 PCs pack) [CAB104C4O] - $3.00 : Seeed Studio Bazaar, Boost ideas, extend the reach
4-WIRE INTERNAL JUMPER CABLE 20 Inch PART#03204

These I found mostly at places where computer cables are available online. I do not want to buy them from abroad since I'm sure these should be available someplace in india itself. I tried asking around at a nearby local computer store today & was suggested to grab a SMPS that go for cheap like Rs.100/- & scavenge it from it...

Any idea where to get these usually? I'll try looking at different computer stores next week. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Update: Tried every local electrical/hardware store & computer store yesterday evening, none have these or even willing to order some

You should be able to get it from desktop assembly guy. The cable looks like what connects a CD drive (analog Audio) to the MB. Not sure how many you need but you should be able to scavenge it from an old desktop as well.

What is the use of this cable in your setup?

From the pics posted in the links you gave, it actually seems like audio pin connector of early dvd roms to connect with MB. My pinnacle TV tuner and Sony DVD ROM have similar connectors to send audio signals to the MB. If you can't find it, pm me. I may be able to dig up the cable for you from my old desktop.

^That cable assembly in the picture is used for connecting a potentiometer to the circuit board of my wah pedal. The other end of the cable is to be soldered to the potentiometer terminals. That's why i need it, otherwise it has no other use for me. Similar ones are also used on the indoor split air conditioner units as well, I remember seeing them while taking it apart. I've also seen them inside my desktop PC, where they are used to connect the cooling fan or the floppy drive/CD/DVD-drive to the SMPS or motherboard. Weird thing is most of the computer repair stores I tried just don't have them or willing to order them either & was redirected to visit an electrical store.

I wanted about 5-10 of those as spares to have around with me, so whenever I have to change the pot I'll have extra jumper wire available incase the previous wire length gets shorter after cutting & stuff.

I guess I will just have to order them in bulk from US  Not much of problem I guess since they go for $1.27 but still I would have sworn those would be available at some store in our country..

Anyways, thanks for the input guys :)
Festive greetings to all
