Which AVR for music..

Yeah i have this thing in my mind.. Infact i started a thread where i asked if someone can let me borrow his Amp so that i can test it with my speakers.. Last weekend i had a demo of Yam A-S300 with my speakers and they actually sounded nice.. So it may be the speakers or may be AVR.

Lot of people suggested me to keep the AVR and buy a seperate Amp for music listenin.. But bcoz of space contraints at my place, i was looking for an AVR which is gud for both, movies and music.

Aakash, finally getting Marantz PM6003 Amp.. earlier i got PM5004 and it sounded nice with my speakers but after 2 days i decided to go for PM6003.. Now just waiting for this Amp.. I also tried CA Azur 540 with my speakers but somehow i did not like the sound.. Same Amp was awesome with MS Aviano 2 speakers.. so now m sure that it's my speakers.. but anyways.. i liked the sound of PM5004 with my speakers so m gonna enjoy PM6003 too.. now eagerly waiting..

Got Asus Xonar STX sound card too.. that gonna help me too to get a better sound..

How is Marantz SR7005 for 70 music 30 movies. Available for 65 to 70k. What's the diff between AV7005 & SR7005. For music... which is better.

The AV7005 is a Preamp/processor only. You'll need a seperate power amp to pair with it. From reviews the AV7005 is a brilliant pre/pro. If you're looking for an AVR the SR7005 is a good choice.
