Which projector for 1.25 Lakhs

After dabbling with purchasing a new large screen TVs I have finally decided to buy a projector. By room size is 12' x 15' x 10'. The viewing distance would be 10'. The projector to screen distance would be 10-11'.

The usecase is primarily movie watching. Good brightness levels is a requirement as the room does have some ambient light during day.

Budget is around 1.25 Lakhs.

I am looking at Epson EH-TW6600. What are some other good options in this range? Also should I get a DLP or LED projector?

I am also looking for same.. And not sure whether to go for DLP or 3LCD...Not going to watch daily only need for weekend movie (3d too) and sports....

Also forgot to mention but horizontal lens shift is a must for me as the mounting point is slightly off centre (By around 2 ft)

If it is living room and you are planning to watch during the day, my opinion is it is best to go with a TV (maybe a 65 incher). Whatever the commercials might say, projectors work best in pitch darkness. Even light reflections (screen -> ceiling/walls ->screen) is enough to mess up the viewing experience - you'll see a washed out picture. If you have a dedicated room or if you can control light or if you plan to watch only at night - THEN, there is no beating the projector. This is for a dedicated room. The room has a window but curtains get rid of most of the sunlight.

Purchased Epson 6600 projector from htstore yesterday. Have not purchased the screen yet. Projecting on an off-white white wall right now. Overall very happy with the brightness and image quality. Though the blacks could have been deeper.
