I am swinging between:

Sonodyne roarr 210 - around 20K
BIC - F12 (450 W) - Around 20 K.

Thanks for Expert advice.

Srini,

Good options given but the OP's budget range is 20k & neither of the options given by you will come even close to that.

Add to that the shipping cost of the heavy weights from bangalore to delhi.

Negotiate and increase the budget to avoid future up-gradation. One time head ache is better than getting later.

Smart way is to finalize the deal between these two. Forever happy and no upgradation.

Why do you say that no upgradation ever required. Are these the best subs in the world?

I heard roar in the showroom also in my friends house. I dint like the sound. It is bloated, with hollow body. It wasn't tight at all. Its kind of annoying than enjoyable to me.

I would like to include astonia into it. So now new options are

Sonodyne roarr 210 - around 20K
BIC - F12 (450 W) - Around 20 K.
Astonia PS2000 - Around 13k

is astonia in this price range can match performance of roar 210 and BIC f12?

Sri, with 50K Budget i wold go for REL\HSU\SUNfire\ SVS\Rythmik entry levels, which could be used until Audio Exit level:)

Just thought what will i do, in case i have plans for SUB with 50K Budget:):yahoo:

Hello Audio,
My budget is 20K and i think these are three choices i would like to choose from.

Do you think
Roar 210 is better than BIC F12 ?

And in your opinion Astonia at a price of 13 K is equavelent to BIC and Roarr, then i would certainly choose astonia.

But if astonia is not good then i am willing to spend 20K as i would like to use it for 5 - 7 years and don't want to upgrade.

Thanks for your expert advice.

Regards

I am using POLK PSW 125. I find it nicely blended with my Denon 1911 for movies and music. It became smooth after running Audissey in my small room 10X 12. Before running auto, it was very heavily pronounced and glass vibrating. Now it may be little subdued for movies, but fine with music.

You may get it for less than Rs. 18000/-

Regards,

vjc

Polk PSW505 is also in almost same range.
So now my options are:

BIC F12 - 20K
Astonia PS2000 - 13K
Roarr 210 - 20K
Polk PSW505 - 21K.

Pls suggest

Astonia got good review by our forum member:)

http://www.hifivision.com/speakers/30895-astonia-audio-ps-2000-subwoofer-review.html

Pls check the Link and go through and our FM's have stated its better VFM than a Sonodyne or even Polk entry level Subs

astonia comes with class ab amp,
out put power is 200 watts but it is definitely lower than the out put of 150 roarr 210 class d amp.
bic sub also comes with class d.but with 12 inch.I think bic is good option if you get it for 20k.

sound quality
av max reviewed astonia and gave best to the subwoofer.
but there is no expert reviews for both roarr 210 and bic f12.

Please don't believe in most reviews.your ears are the final judge.but for under 20k only these are the subwoofers we all know.we have to go blindly to buy them.
