I am not sure if this is the perfect subforum forum to post this, but as you may have heard already, Whitney Houston is dead.


A great talent with a string of hits. I was never her biggest fan, and her style of music. Having said that, how could anyone who likes listening to music (most of us here!) would not love to listen to this with great sadness -

This is saddening news. Very talented singer and also talented as an actor (Bodyguard). Her's was one of my favorite female voices.

It will be hard for any artist to beat Whitney at her peak. She turned in first rate performances in music and movies. Her passing sure put a dark cloud over rehearsal for the Grammy Awards TV show today. Immediately the red pencils came out and a tribute to Ms Houston has been arranged. There will not be a dry eye in the house. Despite the sadness, in showbiz tradition, the show will go on.
